Queen of the south ( la reina del sur )?

i heard that eva mendez was gonna start in a cartel movie called QUEEN OF THE SOUTH a.k.a LA REINA DEL SUR. it was originally wriiten by a popular hispanic novelist and subtitled in english. its about a mexican female who gets an unknown call to find out her drug runner boyfriend was murdered. then she flees mexico and turns into the first female cartel and to get revenge of the other cartel who her deceased boyfriend worked for. it was based on a real life. and eva mendez was supposed to star in usa version of that movie along with josh harnette. but i dont know if they are filming or if they are gonna plan to flim it??? yall know anything about the production????
