Zipped files issues. :s?

So I received a job interview and have to fill out an application pack. I click on the link and it starts to download. I then click on that and it shows a folder called application form. I have extracted the files from there and it shows a Microsoft word application. but when i go to open it it says that publisher cannot be verified. When i try to run it it says that it cannot be initialized. Any ideas?
